Erik X. Raj, Ph.D.

Erik X. Raj, Ph.D., is a certified and licensed speech-language pathologist who works daily with school-age children to help increase their communication abilities. He is currently an assistant professor in the Speech-Language Pathology program at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

Erik regularly presents interactive workshops, both nationally and internationally, on how educators of school-aged students can successfully use Internet and software-based technology to motivate and teach children effective communication strategies. In addition to developing numerous top-ranking educational iPad apps for children with communication difficulties, he has directed the instructional video components to the book titled ‘Your Voice is Your Business’ by Plural Publishing, and has created video content that has appeared on digital cable television networks such as MTV and mtvU.

As a dedicated educator of both children and adults, Erik believes that effective communication skills are essential for all individuals, regardless of age. Through discussions and activities that revolve around the topic of successful communication, it is his mission to provide each of his students with a positive experience that sparks a passion for knowledge and self-awareness, as well as a new-found understanding of what constitutes effective communication.
